Sitting here waiting for spring to arrive at 6:45 PM.
So what happens?
Bitter winter decides it’s not quite done so it drops another
surprise down on us just before leaving.
Kind of like my old college roommate who had an aversion to
flushing after a long weekend visit.
But that’s okay…surprise away. By this time tomorrow, the wet,
white winter will be a vanished memory.
Besides, the crocuses have already poked their heads through
the frozen garden, and they ain’t a goin anywhere soon.
The only thing that’s going is winter.
And I don’t think there’ll be a whole lot of tears shed as
we slam the door shut on its way out.
Bye bye, winter…bye bye….
And spring arrives with a whole lot of stuff attached to it
this year, which wise men say is a portent of good things to come.
Which is just the kind of ambiguous stuff that wise men say,
which to be honest, doesn’t seem all that wise to me, since when is the last
time you went to a party and there was even one wise man there.
Yeah….
But they’re saying, along with spring’s arrival, this year, we’ll
have or will have had, a solar eclipse, a powerful super moon, and the final Pluto/Uranus Square, which
means something, but damned if I know what. I just never miss an opportunity to
make a Uranus reference, whenever I can.
It’s
also the threshold to Aries Season. My favorite astrological season, since,
hey, I’m an Aries, and I couldn’t possibly think that there’s any other
astrological season better than Aries.
Duh….
I just
wish it would hurry up and get here. It takes its own sweet time, that Aries.
Like nobody else matters….
So go
get ready, and open up your doors and windows to Spring in a few. But make sure
you don’t let any snow in.
Gotta
go….winter’s into the fridge, loading up
on my beer before it leaves.
I’ve
already put its bags out on the curb…come on winter…take the hint….
Yes, kick Winter to the curb fast and make it painful. Better yet, head butt it like the Aries ram. (p.s. - I'm an Aries too).
ReplyDeleteHave to shovel out the curb first....
